Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Grandville-Grand Rapids West, MI

The service was amazing, and the location was great. We were surprised by how spacious the king suite was. The room could’ve been a bit cleaner, though.

The staff were great, and the pool was open with water that wasn’t too cold. The hot tub was broken. Our beds felt more like doubles than queens, and they weren’t very comfortable. The mattresses had thick plastic covers that crinkled whenever you moved. The TV was out of date, too. The bathroom’s pocket door sits on the outside of the wall, so it doesn’t give you much privacy. The room and hotel were very clean.

The price really isn’t worth it. The bathroom door was broken, the trash never got emptied, and the place wasn’t the cleanest. The pool was cold, which was especially unpleasant at the end of fall when it was already cold outside. There was no one near the front desk, either.

We just finished a 6 night stay. The first-floor room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the grandkids enjoyed the pool. The price was more affordable than at many other hotels nearby. It did feel understaffed, and things often seemed to be running behind. Breakfast was 90 minutes late one day, and we had daily trouble signing on to Wi-Fi. There were a bunch of other small issues too, like a broken towel bar, loose toilet seat, and public bathroom that wasn’t cleaned regularly.
