SpringHill Suites Lexington Near the University of Kentucky

The airport location was great, and the hotel had a shuttle there. The guest service agents at both check-in and checkout were wonderful and friendly. The rooms were clean but badly in need of an upgrade. Our coffee table was broken, and cars parked in front of our window sent their headlights into the room when people drove in. Apart from that, those were the only bad things.

The sink water pressure was so strong it felt like it could take the skin off your hand, though not literally. The shower was the opposite, just a slow, weak trickle. The pool is small and was closed on our first day, but the place was clean. Overall, we liked it and would stay again.

We stopped here overnight on a road trip. It was easy to find and had plenty of parking. The woman at the front desk when we booked was phenomenal, and deserves a shout-out. We stayed 9/24. She even suggested places to eat and things to check out if we had time. Our room was amazingly clean and comfortable, with a great layout separating the bedroom from the living room.

Inside the hotel, I felt safe and comfortable, and the staff were helpful and friendly throughout my two-week stay. Room service was reliably good, the laundry facilities worked perfectly, and the front desk supplied detergent. They also gave me great local food recommendations. Starbucks is just across the street, though getting there takes about 12 minutes because of the blocked center line and awkward traffic lights. The hotel itself is pleasant and well run, but the surrounding neighborhood felt a bit rough around the edges. It's not right downtown, and I'd be cautious walking around, especially at night. There are worse areas to stay in Lexington, but it's worth keeping an eye on your surroundings outside.
