Homewood Suites by Hilton Lexington Fayette Mall

The two-bedroom suite had no extra trash bags, and there was no housekeeping between nights, which was a hassle for four people staying several days. The thermostat was only in the living room, so making the primary bedroom comfortable left the living room freezing. The pool was shut several times over the weekend for cleaning or because the maintenance worker was more than three hours late. Traveling with kids, that was a big disappointment. Breakfast was so poor that we gave up and went to McDonald's, even though I usually just rely on hotel breakfast to get the kids through to lunch. For $500, I expected more. The stay wasn't awful, but after I replied to the location manager's email with these same concerns, I heard nothing for a week. The lack of response makes me doubt I'd come back.

A really quiet place with a great location near the highways, which made getting to and from work easy. The room and bed were good, everything was clean, and the staff were great. Water pressure was better than most gyms. There’s an outdoor pool, breakfast starts at 6:00am, and the Wednesday social is around 5:00pm.

We had a King suite and spent a week here with our dog. The room was comfortable, clean, and in good shape, and it stayed quiet. The common areas were clean too, and everyone on staff was friendly. The free business center was easy to use, with instructions right there. The gym was great, including working free pelatons. I didn't use the outdoor pool, but it looked well kept. There’s a big green area behind the property for dogs, and the surrounding streets are quiet and walkable. Meijer's is across the road, as is Brews taphouse, which I'd recommend walking to for food and a drink. Lots of dogs were around, but you'd never guess the place was pet friendly from the way it was kept. One concern: we saw broken glass in the parking lot from car windows that had been smashed. I'm not sure why it hadn't been cleaned up. There are plenty of signs saying the hotel isn't responsible for damage or theft, so don't leave valuables in your car. The area seems to have a lot of break-ins and theft. I've stayed at many Hilton properties and enjoyed this week. Non-dairy coffee options at breakfast would have been nice.

We come to Lexington regularly and always stay here. It's quiet, there's plenty to do nearby, and the rooms are consistently clean. The pool is clean too, and we really like the breakfast. Thanks for being so welcoming!
