Hilton Vacation Club Mystic Dunes Orlando

The location near Disney’s Animal Kingdom is great, and the rooms were clean, fairly nice looking, and roomy. My dad and I stayed for a three-day Disney trip for my birthday, and it turned into quite an experience because of the door locks. When we arrived, our keycards wouldn’t open the room, so security let us in. We got replacement cards the next morning, but they failed too. We returned to the check-in building 11 separate times for new sets, and none of them worked. Eventually they moved us to another room, but those cards didn’t open that door either. We only got in once they issued a completely new, unused card. The renovated rooms are beautiful and spacious, and it’s a nice hotel in a good location. But the way the door lock upgrade is being handled isn’t working well. Guests shouldn’t be assigned rooms they can’t reliably unlock. I hope they fix it. We kept at it, and staff eventually found the problem with the keycard database.

The staff would check in by text to see how things were going, and anything we needed was only a message away. That made everything convenient. I came with my husband and four kids, and our two-bedroom place worked perfectly. There was always enough parking, the property is beautiful, and it’s easy to reach from the main roads. I’ll definitely stay here whenever I’m in Orlando.

From our top-floor balcony, we could see the views and the nighttime fireworks at Magic Kingdom. Our family had a great stay, with clean, updated rooms. We’ll definitely come back again soon.

We had a lot of fun and will come back next time we’re in Orlando. Our two-bedroom suite was awesome and gave us plenty of space. The big tub was great, with a nice shower, and the oven and fridge were both up to standard. The dunes lagoon pool was a blast. The bar had good drinks and fries, though it was a bit pricey. Renting a cabana is a nice option if you have the extra money. My one complaint is that the Disney shuttles have been discontinued.
