Meliá Orlando Celebration

The staff were friendly, sociable, and easy to talk to. They even had little poolside events, bingo today, which felt much more welcoming than our last hotel, which seemed clinical. The rooms were nice too. What bothered me was the pricing. We paid the quoted nightly amount in advance, then were charged another $25 per night in fees on arrival. We were told that covered complimentary drinks from 4 to 5, but the selection was tiny: two wines and three beers. My wife only drinks moscato, which wasn't included, so we paid $9 a glass and got none of the fee back. Those drinks aren't really free, and you're paying for something you might not use. If the fee is mandatory, it should be part of the advertised price instead of being added on afterward. The way it was presented seemed shady.

We were impressed by how clean the room was when we arrived, and Iberica was a wonderful staff member who helped us during our stay. My son had booked the hotel because he was running the Celebration Marathon nearby. The kitchen was very nice, with a regular full-size fridge, microwave, and full-size oven and stove. We'd definitely stay here again if we return to Celebration, and I highly recommend it.

Valerie made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. She knew her stuff, was incredibly helpful at every step, and explained everything so I felt confident. I really appreciate her support and service. The whole front desk team also deserves a big thank you. They welcomed us as soon as we walked in and made us feel special. The pool was nice, and it's an easy walk to a few restaurants besides the one at the hotel. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and there was a fridge. The staff were great, especially Iberica, who welcomed us and helped when we needed to switch rooms. She was very accommodating.
