Rachel and Mike were a big help, and I'm really grateful to both of them. Rachel was professional, knew her stuff, and always had a smile; she was ready to talk with anyone. The building's security was also well managed, and the place was impressively clean and maintained. I stayed for two nights, and the location made it easy to get to shops and restaurants. The manager's handling of our visitors was intrusive and hostile. He demanded ID from every person entering our paid room, even people stopping by briefly. When one visitor didn't have ID with them, he became aggressive and kicked us out, without discussion or any attempt at a compromise. We'd paid for several more nights, but the hotel is keeping that money even though we can no longer stay there. We were left hundreds of dollars out of pocket and had to find somewhere else at the last minute. In all my hotel stays around the country, I've never been asked to have casual visitors documented like this. Checking the registered guest makes sense, but tracking friends, relatives, or colleagues who drop in is an unacceptable invasion of privacy. This was a room we'd paid for, yet we were treated like criminals. Between the privacy issue, the rude management, and the refusal to refund the unused nights, I felt they showed no concern for guest rights or basic decency. Stay away unless you want this kind of treatment.

The team ran this hotel really well, and the staff were friendly. Our room was exceptionally clean, everything was beautifully cared for, and the price was very reasonable. There was no breakfast at all, though. The lobby only had hot coffee and water for tea. Aside from that, it was remarkable.

They shouldn't be adding charges after a booking has been made at an agreed price. I believe what this hotel is doing is totally illegal, and I'm contacting the FTC and the state District Attorney's office. I'd avoid staying here until they replace the management company with one that knows Colorado law.
