Super 8 Center

I never even got to see the room. I was exhausted and hours from home after booking through Klarna on booking.com. Before I booked, I confirmed the room was available and that early check-in was possible. I showed up a little later for early check-in with my ID and card details on my phone. Other places at the same chains have accepted those, and I offered to email the information or let them scan my phone. The person at the front desk said I couldn't stay without the physical cards and, when I asked what we could do, rudely said there was nothing. I was being polite. When I asked for a cancellation and paperwork to send to Klarna and booking.com, they told me booking.com had to cancel it. I knew that wasn't right. I contacted Klarna and booking.com, and booking.com said they'd contact the hotel about a free cancellation, but they never did. I've been replying to the SUPER 8 text and keep hearing that nobody is available. The people replying to emails from the hotel are only justifying what feels like theft. I paid over 100 for a night and wasn't allowed to stay, based on whatever excuse they came up with. I wouldn't go here, period. Maybe this only happened to me, but I have a feeling they take payments and then use some weak clause or excuse not to let people stay, while keeping the money. They know booking sites will take their side and leave customers in a bind, and don't give a damn.
