I’ve stayed here three times, but this last visit was unacceptable. The room towels were nasty, so we decided to shower without them. I’d asked for extras for me and my two kids, and was told the towels already in the room were all they could give us. Then a big white bug came out of the faucet when I turned on the shower. The door didn’t shut all the way, though I could still lock it, and the noise was crazy. Early in the morning, I went to get water and found the kitchen full of roaches. I messaged the number late at night about another issue and still haven’t gotten a reply. They’ve lost me as a customer. I definitely won’t be back.

The rooms were nasty and had bugs, so I’d tell people not to go there. We arrived in a good mood just wanting a room and ended up feeling mistreated. The woman stopped helping me after I asked why she was taking pictures of our IDs. She said I came across as aggressive. I found that offensive, especially as a Black person when I was only asking a question. Then she served someone who had arrived ten minutes after me and made me wait until that customer was done. This was the worst customer service I’ve ever had, and the worst hotel and extended stay I’ve been to. Honestly, it gave me the impression they were racist.

My 30 days here were comfortable. The rooms were clean and didn’t have a stale smoke smell, and the employees were really nice. The property is consistently kept up, the trash area is always clean, and there’s no idle loitering or kids running wild. The rules are definitely enforced. If you want a place with noise, drugs, people hanging out, random police presence, and trash all around, this isn’t the spot for you. I highly recommend it.

I’m grateful this hotel exists. I’ve never been homeless or had to ask for help before, and I cried when I got back to my Uhaul in the Co-Op ministries parking lot after Ms. Morgan wrote me a check for a week’s stay. My mom, husband, best friend of 17 years, and nephew Jaeden, who was killed here in Gwinnett at 13 in front of his house because he had a BB gun, are watching over me. They’ve got me, and now I know I can lean on The Living Lodge, no matter what my evil ex or some family members do. The prices are super dupa legit. I can more than afford it on my own, but I had the Uhaul for a week and was paying more than I’d calculated. The place is nice and clean. I have OCD and clean for myself anyway, even at fast food restaurants or gas stations when I use the bathroom or sit at a public table to eat. I think people leave reviews as if everyone gets treated the same, while leaving out the energy or timing they brought that made them angry at the business instead of a particular employee. I call those people miserable. The rules are there for a reason. They call me military mom because I don’t play. I believe in structure, discipline, tough love, soft love, all of it. Follow the rules. If you don’t follow laws, you’ll always have a negative review for every place you visit. It’s past time for adulting to take back over. People complain for nothing, choose the devil instead of stopping to humble themselves. Just pray, pray, pray. How can you be picky and choosy when you’re here? Follow the rules and mind your own business. Stop being an attention seeker. To me, that’s mental instability and acting defiant like you’re not an adult, then getting mad because they won’t put up with that mess. I loved The Loving Lodge from my first night and my first time ever needing you guys. Thank God you exist. P.S. I know I look young, but I’m 38 October 10th. The reviews I read disgusted me, but as usual I followed my instincts and found The Loving Lodge is amazing. Not even one roach. The people who say there are roaches are nasty and don’t clean. I don’t like the spiders and webs outside, but that’s nature. Oh, and a wasp my kids let in through the door. If you’re like me, see for yourself and forget what someone else says. I’m working on other things and don’t plan to extend my stay, but I definitely will if my other plans don’t work out.
