The staff made everything easy, from check-in to getting answers, and were friendly and accommodating the whole time. The setting is wonderfully quiet, with trees and a pond all around, and it feels like a place where you can actually unwind. My room was clean and cozy, with a private deck facing the water and woods. At night, I loved sitting out there with the frogs calling and fog drifting over the pond. It has a rustic Laurel Highlands feel while still being well kept. There are fire pits, too, and the property feels safe and peaceful. Ohiopyle, Fallingwater, Fort Necessity, Nemacolin, and the surrounding mountains are all convenient to explore from here. You can see the effort going into updates, while the laid-back lodge charm is still there. If you want an ultra-modern luxury resort, this may not be your place, but for a clean, scenic, affordable mountain stay, I’d happily come back.

The lake view was lovely, with fire pits nearby, baby geese, and horses visible across the street. We liked being a little outside town, and the room was spotless, with really nice bedding and pillows. We’d just left a terrible nearby hotel and needed somewhere we could feel comfortable staying and showering, so we stopped here to ask to see a room first. The woman at the desk was incredibly helpful and considerate, and got us a room right away. We enjoyed the hotel and the area. The only trouble was the internet: our Verizon data didn’t work, and the hotel WiFi was unreliable. If you stay here, the nearby caves have tours, and Ohiopyle is a good place to hike.

My husband could've stayed longer just to fish on the lake each morning. We had a lake-view room with two full beds, and the location worked well for seeing Ohiopyle and Laurel Caverns, which are both close by. There are other places to visit around there, too.

Josh and the rest of the staff are fantastic, and we keep recommending the place to friends and family. The renovations have turned out beautifully, and the rooms feel welcoming and are very clean.

We came from Michigan to visit Falling water, and the hotel was only about 20 minutes away. The beds were comfortable, and it had the amenities you’d expect from a big hotel chain, without noisy neighbors or elevators. It suited us perfectly, and I’d stay here again if I’m back in the area.
