We only stayed because other hotels had no vacancies, and my husband had already checked us in. Later, I went to complain that the TV didn’t work and saw the no-refunds sign. It felt like, once you check in, you can’t leave without giving up your money. I rarely write reviews, but felt I should warn people. The place was filthy and reeked of weed. Crumbs covered the hallways, the phone and TV didn’t work, and the toilet seat was barely attached. There were no bathroom cups, a hole in the bathroom door like someone had punched through it, and I could push the supposedly locked door open.

The website photos don’t match the rooms at all. My husband and I stayed one night last weekend, and both our room and the hallway smelled like skunk weed, enough to give you a contact buzz. There were bugs in the bathroom, the living-area TV didn’t work, and people were talking and banging around in the hall in the middle of the night. The front desk clerk had to call the owner about our reservation. At checkout, nobody was at the desk to take our keys, so we had to call someone to say we were leaving. I don’t know how the place passed fire code with everything plugged into the outlets. I wouldn’t recommend it or stay again.

I used points to book, and by the time I realized how late it was, I’d forgotten my wallet and couldn’t get another hotel. I killed a roach in the bathroom with the only hanger there. The room entrance was ridiculously bad, and the place seemed to have people living there, though that wasn’t obvious at first. The door had to be slammed to lock, and it was already unlocked without using the key. I didn’t sleep under the covers because the room felt unclean. Someone asked whether I wanted to file a complaint, but I didn’t have photos to include. It’ll be a long time before I book here again, if I ever do.

They charged more than $700 extra to my credit card. I kept calling as instructed to get it fixed, but was told the manager wasn’t in and to call again, or that the manager would call me. I’m still waiting. I can think of better charities.
