Extended Stay America Select Suites - Atlanta - Chamblee

Roaches. That really says enough. I stayed at Extended Stay America - Atlanta - Chamblee, and the room looked nothing like the photos. It smelled strongly of cigarettes the whole time. The walls were filthy, with stains and spills, and the bathroom had hair everywhere and visible mildew. The floors didn't look swept or mopped. Even the blanket that was meant to be white was so dirty it looked gray. The room felt unsanitary and poorly maintained. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it to anyone expecting basic cleanliness.

I didn’t stay at this property, so I can’t speak to the location itself. My complaint is about the online pricing, which I find flat-out deceptive. The nightly rate is advertised at about $46, but the checkout total jumps with fees. There's an additional mandatory $30 monthly Enhanced Services Fee for services I think should be standard. Georgia's $5 per night hotel fee and local excise taxes also push a stay that should cost $1,400 to nearly $1,800. At that price, the amenities don't justify the cost. It feels like paying premium rates for basic Select infrastructure. If you're planning a long stay or looking for a true Command Center, do your homework. Roswell and Woodstock have much better value, without what I see as junk fees padding the total. I’ll take my treasury elsewhere. Unacceptable.

Candis at the front desk made the stay stand out. She greeted me with a warm smile, was patient and professional, answered my questions, and made sure I was looked after. She has a great mix of efficiency and personality, and it's clear she takes pride in her work. Extended Stay is lucky to have her. The room was clean and comfortable, with what I needed to feel settled during a transitional time. The location was convenient, quiet, and well kept. If I come back, which I probably will, I hope Candis is working.

I moved to the Chamblee area and have been staying here for about six months. It's been peaceful and comfortable, and the staff are great about helping with my needs and concerns. I'm very pleased and enjoying my stay.
