I like staying here.

I was only there for about an hour, but that was enough. I saw a bug crawling on the bed, lifted the sheet, and found more. I assumed they were bed bugs. There was also a huge bloodstain near the head of the mattress, by the corner. I can’t imagine what happened, and it was scary to think about sleeping there. The mattress looked like it belonged in a dumpster. The room itself was dark and gloomy, with chipped paint, holes in the wall, and old, broken things. The updated bed frame and TV mount were the only parts that matched the online pictures. The stairwell was being used as a trash chute, and the elevator was completely dark inside, with flashing lights and a scary noise. There was a foul smell near the rooms, which I didn’t notice at the front desk because it’s at the other end of the building. There are entrances at both ends of the hallways, and parking near the one closest to the rooms made it easier to see the damage and smell. The walls and light fixtures had serious damage too. I don’t understand how this place is open or how it’s called a Wyndham hotel. The staff didn’t seem to care when I found the bugs. They didn’t offer a discount, only a room change after I pointed out the other problems. I wasn’t comfortable staying and declined. I was told I wouldn’t get a refund for that night, but the next shift would refund the second night of my two-night stay. That never happened either. It’s unacceptable, and nobody should have to stay in a room like that. The manager and owner should be furious that staff were renting it out without telling management what needed repairs, especially the mattress. I’ll upload pictures.

The website showed a full breakfast, but that wasn’t what we got. It was just waffle batter, bread, bagels, cream cheese, butter, jelly, mini muffins, coffee and creamer. I was very disappointed. With the Wyndham name, that’s a shame. It should’ve been a MOTEL 6. I will not go back. The hotel needed repairs from the front door to the rooms, and the website photos didn’t show what it was really like. Our first room smelled like an electrical fire. The AC and mini fridge didn’t work, and the third-floor hall reeked of cigarette smoke. The second room was okay, but the bathroom door knob was broken and the room door didn’t work right. My 79-year-old mother got locked inside. I finally managed to open it.

The room pictures were blurry and didn’t match what was there, and the place wasn’t even called “Quality Inn.” My first room reeked of cigarettes, even though they supposedly don’t have smoking rooms. In the next one, the AC was broken, and in another, the key card didn’t work. They wanted to move me again, but I’d had enough and refused. The guy was rude when I asked to cancel and said he couldn’t. When it was clear he wouldn’t refund me, I left and lost more than $82. He didn’t care whether I was satisfied. They must be more desperate than I am. I’m writing this so nobody else has the same experience.
