I expected more for this part of town. The room had the feel of a hospital, and the lobby had a homeless or drunk man sitting in it, which made the place feel sketchy. It even seemed like it could turn into senior low-income housing or a homeless shelter, which would be strange here. There was an ice bucket but no cups, and no coffee in the room. Breakfast was packaged hard-boiled eggs or yogurt, plus oatmeal and cocoa, but there was no coffee or hot water to make them.

The room was great, and that recliner is what made us want to return. We understand the idea of providing only what guests need, but for stays under a week, it’d be helpful to have some basic cooking and eating supplies for people who want to prepare just a little food. More breakfast items could also be offered for an extra charge. That would especially help older guests who can’t keep going to the desk whenever they need something. Thanks, Dennis Sanford.

Stephanie turned a rough check-in around for us. My aunt’s room was dirty, with used towels on the floor, someone else’s food trash, and messy beds. We went to the lobby, where Stephanie apologized and personally got us a clean replacement on the same floor. We’d booked both rooms together through one person but still weren’t assigned rooms next to each other. Thanks to Stephanie’s great service, we gave the stay four stars instead of two. We’d book again.

I liked the location because it was nine minutes from my job, and I’d planned to stay here short term while looking for an apartment. I was paying $78 a day. One day I couldn’t pay quickly enough and had to leave. When I came back the next day, the unsympathetic GM said I owed for three nights, which wasn’t right because I’d been paying every day. When I questioned it, she said I’d be put on a DNR. I’m a single mom trying to have a place to sleep and shower while I work in the area, and I was treated terribly for reasons I don’t understand. Nobody should be treated that way.
