SpringHill Suites by Marriott Phoenix Chandler/Fashion Center

We had a nice one-night stay. The room was clean and pretty standard for comparable hotels, with a clean, standard bathroom and comfortable beds. There were plenty of pillows too. Check-in was quick and hassle-free. The hotel is conveniently located across from a mall and Walmart. The TV's an odd fit between the bed and couch areas, but it wasn't really a problem.

The hotel itself was clean and nice, and the location was convenient, but the customer service felt poor. Breakfast had juice, milk, and tea, but no water. When I asked for water at breakfast and the front desk, they told me to take a cup to the gym and get it there. It wouldn't be hard to put out a jug of water for breakfast.

I moved here hoping for a better stay than at another Marriott in the area, but I wish I'd gone back there. I stay in hotels all the time, mostly Marriot properties, and this was my least enjoyable one. The building was loud, with vehicle noise outside waking me several times every night even though I'm a heavy sleeper. The bed was so uncomfortable that I was counting down until I could leave.

The place was filthy, from the hair all over the bathroom floor to the generally dirty room and property. There didn't seem to be any cleaning standards, and when I brought it to management, they took no responsibility. The AC was broken, and the room was missing toilet paper and pillows for the futon. It's well located, but feels like a trap. I don't know how this property still carries the Marriott flag. If Marriott corporate is keeping an eye on reviews, these complaints are real and the property should lose that flag.
