The Laurel Apartments in Chandler

The dog park is so dirty with poop that many people have stopped bringing their dogs there. Under the old management it was cleaned regularly, and problems got a response within a day. The grills have also been out of order for months, even though memos have gone out asking for repairs. Neighbors have also said their cars were towed without warning, though ours hasn’t been towed. Policies aren’t enforced like they were under Greystar. Several neighbors have complained about one family whose kids reportedly vandalize shared amenities, pee in the bushes, and kick soccer balls through windows daily. We’ve lived here almost two years. We used to love it under the old management, but the quality of life has fallen sharply in the last few months. We’ve tried giving the team chances to address things, but they ignore our concerns and requests. We asked for the shared area to be washed for over three months. Staff have been rude and uncaring. Pablo told us to scrub the floor ourselves, while Bell said power washing wasn’t done because it could damage some areas. It’s all concrete, and the shared spaces used to be washed regularly, so that didn’t make sense to us. We bought a leaf blower and power washer and cleaned our building’s public area ourselves. The online payment portal has gone down three times in recent months, and management keeps adding fees without notice for problems they created. Nobody has followed up or shown concern about our frustration. We’ve tried hard to make the place better for everyone, but the employees’ rudeness and lack of care make it seem like they aren’t willing to fix anything. Living conditions have dropped dramatically, crime has increased, including a fatality from gun violence, and more disrespectful people keep moving in. What a shame.
