Westfields Marriott Washington Dulles

The hotel has a resort-like feel, with lots of amenities. The grounds are well kept and there's plenty of parking, though it's a short walk to the entrance. With a lot of luggage, I'd unload at the front door first. Our room was spacious, the beds comfortable, and the showers had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Ice machines and a microwave were close to the rooms. We were there during a quiet period, so my kids had the indoor pool to themselves, and towels were easy to get. There wasn't much seating, but that didn't matter since it wasn't busy. The gym was nicely equipped, and the men's bathroom had showers, a sauna, and a steam room. Everyone on staff we met was very nice. The only drawback for going out is that you need a car. We had one, so it wasn't a problem, and we'd come back when we're in the area.

My family and I came for a tournament, and the woman at check-in was incredibly nice. I can't remember her name, but she was so sweet. The room was so clean it looked like Elon Musk had paid someone 1 million dollars to clean it. Whoever cleaned it did a better job than I do when my parents come over for Thanksgiving. The service was great too. I don't usually see hotels get great reviews, but this one was something else. If you're looking for a hotel, go here, it's the best.

The rooms are clean and well appointed, and it's a nice older hotel. The problem is the heat: they can't seem to keep it on, and rooms in every section were freezing. I'd only come in summer, when it's warm. Drinks at the bar are pricey.

We've been spending Thanksgiving at the Westfields Marriott in Chantilly for years. Family is what brings us there, but the hotel has become part of the tradition too. The staff are consistently top-notch and seem to take real pride in the place. There's loads of space, a grand, almost palace-like design, cozy lounges people actually use, and grand pianos all around. We love sitting down to play, and it's helped us meet other guests and musicians over the years. Local wildlife shows up now and then too; this year we even named a groundhog. The restaurant and bartenders are always solid. I highly recommend the Bloody Marys and Bulleit Old Fashioneds, and the value is hard to beat. Great people and a great stay, an easy part of our holiday every year.
