Holiday Inn Express & Suites Chanute by IHG

The breakfast and dining room staff are amazing. They keep the food stocked, make sure the room stays clean, and are so kind. The employees at the Chanute Holiday Inn Express are the kindest and most helpful we’ve come across. We always stay at Holiday Inn Expresses, and we’ll be back.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was a notch better than usual. It may be a bit pricey, but it’s well done and has excellent access to US400. It’s on the edge of town, though, if you’re looking to do things in town.

I live in chanute, so I haven’t actually stayed here, but I do know a few things! You can rent the pool for birthday parties and stuff. It doesn’t look at all like the pictures, though. It’s just a pool, not as nice as they made it seem. The people there were weird, too. I went into the bathroom and an employee was using it with the stall door open. The lady at the front desk didn’t seem happy, and when I went to the pool she slowly followed me. Scary!!!

I was exhausted from the week and didn’t want to deal with changing rooms. When I arrived, I saw debris on the floor and picked up the most obvious bits with tissue. There was more to clean up after that. I wiped down the sink area like I always do, found hairs around it and more in the sink, and cleaned those too. There was still hair on the floor. The sheets at least looked clean, so I stayed, but after my shower I found some kind of nugget on the nightstand when I went to charge my phone. That was it. I didn’t trust the bedding anymore because whoever cleaned the room clearly didn’t care. I showed the front desk guy some photos, though I’d cleaned things like the sink without taking pictures, and he moved me to another room. The second room was better. Both rooms had badly stained carpets. Hotels should stop using carpet since some people ruin it so easily.
