HarbourView Inn

After a terrible experience at a Marriott about a mile from downtown, we cancelled there and came here on a whim to ask about a room. The staff were incredibly kind and got us settled right away. The room felt like a cozy bedroom, and the bed was comfortable. Each morning included breakfast, plus there was a cheese and wine hour and a cookies and milk hour. The service was unbeatable. I almost cried when I saw how different the room was from our previous hotel. They made our anniversary weekend special, and I’m grateful to everyone who looked after us. We’ll definitely be back.

Jodi noticed we’d recently gotten engaged and went out of her way to suggest fun things downtown. The staff were incredible, and the Southern hospitality was real. We had a beautiful water view, and the iconic Pineapple Fountain was only a two minute walk away. Breakfast was complimentary, as were the wine and cheese hour and the late night milk and cookies. A lovely way to finish each day of exploring. I’d absolutely recommend HarbourView Inn to anyone wanting to experience Charleston.

We especially liked being a short walk from major attractions and good restaurants, which made it easy to explore the city. HarbourView Inn welcomed us warmly from the minute we arrived. The room was spotless and spacious, and the bed was so comfortable we slept like logs. Breakfast had a great selection of fresh, tasty food, and the coffee was excellent. Jodi at the front desk was especially helpful with directions and recommendations, and check-in and checkout were quick and trouble-free. Her care and professionalism made a real difference. The hotel’s attention to detail and warm hospitality exceeded our expectations. We’ll be back on our next Charleston visit.

We had a great view of the fountain from our room, and the pineapple fountain was a short walk away. I’d stay here again and loved the hotel and staff. The elevator repairs were underway, but we weren’t told until we were halfway through our six hour drive. They put us on the first floor, which is actually the second floor, and valet helped carry our luggage up the stairs. That would usually have been fine, but I was just 2 months out from my second knee replacement in 9 months.
