The hotel was quiet, which I really appreciated, and everything felt new. I also loved the location, just across the street from several noteworthy places and The Gibbes Museum. The rooms had plush amenities, and The Iron Lady was a great breakfast spot. It had a fantastic, five-star feel.

I came back to Mills House Charleston for my 60th birthday after a wonderful first stay 2 yrs ago, and it was just as lovely traveling solo. Christmas was such a festive time to visit, and the staff made everything feel warm and celebratory. I had trouble booking a table for one at the Iron Rose because the app wouldn’t allow a solo reservation, which was disappointing. Manager on duty Duwhyte took care of it right away, returning with a reservation at an even better time. They also comped my birthday dessert. The accommodations and staff were above and beyond. Mills House feels like staying with family, and I’m grateful to Duwhyte and the team.

We had to add a night after our flights were canceled, and Dwight helped make the extra stay enjoyable. Later, we ate at the Iron Horse, and it was the best meal of our trip, even compared with Poogan's Porch, Queen 82, and Miller's All Day. Landon was a terrific server, the food was great, and the bartenders were dynamite. Maxine, Alex, Dwight, and the whole front desk and staff were terrific too. Everything was SUPURB!!!

We had a really nice short staycation downtown. Duwhyte at the front desk was lovely at check-in and surprised us with an upgrade. The cabana room was clean and cute, and I liked the hotel’s decorations. It wasn’t warm enough for the pool or cabana season, but I did get to sit in the sun by the pool for a couple of hours. The complimentary champagne hour in the late afternoon was a nice touch. There’s also a cafe and restaurant attached, so coffee and food are close by. I definitely recommend it.

The room was stunning and the bed insanely comfortable. I loved the scent in the lobby and the bath products, and the lobby coffee shop serves great La Colombe coffee. Daniel, the Hotel Manager, was awesome and helpful, and the front office team was ready to assist with anything. Mills House is in a perfect location for everything, and we walked King Street each night after dinner. Service felt luxurious from the moment we walked in. A perfect hotel in Charleston, you must stay here.
