Lisa looked after all our needs from my first reservation phone call until we left, and we felt appreciated and welcome the whole time. The English Gentleman's guest room was even better than we expected. The Brass Pineapple Inn has a lovely atmosphere, and Lisa was a gracious host who made both Keri and me feel like family. She gave us an interesting bit of the house’s history, prepared a delicious organic breakfast, and served hot tea in an antique cup. We’d requested wine and chocolate-dipped strawberries in the room, and that was a lovely touch. The inn will be our home away from home when we visit Charleston. Thank you, Lisa.

We loved how cozy the old house felt, and our room was spotless. The soft sheets and comfortable bed made for a great night. Lisa cooked us a delicious meal, too. Each morning I sat on the front porch with coffee and admired her hydrangeas. My boyfriend and I would happily recommend it.

Breakfast was a highlight, especially Lisa’s gluten-free pan bread. The food was gourmet quality, and she uses local ingredients when she can, along with organic, clean choices. The Brass Pineapple Inn is a beautiful piece of architecture with modern conveniences added. When we arrived, Lisa poured us afternoon tea and, since we asked, told us about the home’s history. I highly recommend staying here.

Lisa even filled my travel coffee flask from the percolator as I was leaving, which says a lot about the kindness and hospitality here. I loved staying with Lisa and Greg. My room was lovely and comfortable, and stayed cool despite the hot weather, even up on the second floor of the old house. The inn feels like home. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious, with organic ingredients and some produce from the garden. There were several wines to choose from, all excellent. The place is full of history, good stories, and genuinely warm hosts. I’d return whenever I’m traveling this way.

We were so happy here that we’ll stay again next time we’re in Charleston. Lisa was the best hostess I’ve ever had, and her courtesy and breakfast were both five-star. The old mansion has real charm, but it’s also conveniently close to everything we wanted: about a block from the state Capital, with restaurants and shops nearby, and the river right there. Staying here was pure joy.
