The convenient location made it easy to relax and enjoy the trip, and complimentary coffee was a nice extra. My room was cozy, and the staff were polite and attentive from the moment I arrived. I had a wonderful stay and would recommend the hotel.

The place itself is nice, and the rooms were clean. Staff were friendly and helpful, and it’s a good spot for visiting our grandson at The Citadel, about a mile away, and going to events. We had the pink room, a one-bedroom with a kitchen and bath. Just be aware it takes 19 steep steps to reach the room, which may be difficult for anyone with limited mobility. A couple of things weren’t as pictured or convenient. The porch with chairs and a swing shown in photos of 171 Spring belongs to the house next door, not this property. My husband is disabled and expected it to be a shared space; he can’t walk far and had looked forward to sitting outside when I was away. Parking was across the street behind a building, down a VERY narrow driveway between a building and fence. My SUV had only about six inches to spare on either side as I drove through. The property is also on a corner by a stoplight at a very busy intersection. I wanted to share those details because they may matter to others.
The location is the only thing this place has going for it. Don’t let them put you in Room D if you want to sleep. The windows and walls are paper thin, so it felt like our bed was on the street. The bed itself was bad too, with a cheap, very soft mattress. My wife and I struggled to sleep with both problems, and the bathroom water pressure was awful. The shower barely drizzled and the sink barely worked. They dressed up a bad place and sold it as a boutique hotel.
The apartment was open, very clean, and nice to have as a whole little place to ourselves. We were very close to the attractions and managed to see everything we wanted. There was some traffic and helicopter noise, as others mentioned, but that’s city life. A few other guests were loud, though the staff took care of it when I raised the issue.
I cancelled my reservation at The Quarters on Spring through Expedia after they were unresponsive. I couldn’t reach them by phone, and they didn’t reply to my email confirmation message. They had charged a deposit of more than 50% of the accommodation cost, and I’m still waiting for that money back. Expedia says the refund will be issued by The Quarters of Spring.
