The breakfast was a nice surprise, with delicious pastries from a local bakery, boiled eggs, and grits. Parking is the one drawback, though that’s true all over downtown. There’s a garage right behind the hotel, so it’s convenient even if it isn’t cheap, and street parking is free from 6PM to 9AM. Check-in was easy, and Justin honored my request and shared useful local tips. The location is close to great restaurants. My room was clean and comfortable, with a spa shower, and the bed was firm without being too hard, so we slept well. We had a wonderful stay at this boutique hotel and would return and recommend The Palmetto Hotel.

The welcome cocktail and quick check-in got things off to a nice start. I liked the room touches too, especially the robes, Nespresso coffee, chocolates, and fresh water. In the morning, I worked in the lobby and caught the warm donut delivery from High Cotton next door, which happens Thursday through Saturday. The scones and grits at breakfast were a lovely local touch, and the lobby music kept things relaxed. The downtown location, pretty decor, comfortable room, and friendly staff all worked well. The bartender in the lobby and the valet gave me great restaurant suggestions for my night out, and everyone was helpful and cheerful. Thanks for a great stay.

Our small wedding in the penthouse went smoothly, with no issues, and the space was stunning. Shannon was organized, accommodating, and easy to work with throughout the planning. The Palmetto Hotel is beautiful, and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience.

We were very happy staying here with our 18-month-old. The staff were friendly, and we enjoyed the rooms and continental breakfast. I used to live in Charleston and was back for a visit, so I especially appreciated how easy it was to walk around downtown from this beautiful boutique hotel.

The breakfast was on the sparse side compared with other hotels: biscuits and gravy, hard-boiled eggs, small yogurt parfaits, muffins, and scones. Our alley-facing room was loud with the windows open at night, though closing them made it fine. The lobby is stylish, the rooms were clean, the bar drinks were great, and the location is right in the center.
