There were stinkbugs and ladybugs all over the room, on the walls, desk lamp, in the bathroom and closet, pretty much everywhere. I didn’t stay and got a refund, which is the only reason I gave the service two stars. I arrived around 3:45 p.m. for a 2 p.m. check-in, but the room wasn’t ready. Housekeeping cleaned it, and it wasn’t ready until about 5 p.m. Even then, it wasn’t clean.

It’s been a tough few weeks, and that little bit of kindness meant a lot. My daughter and I arrived at 2 a.m. after I called at 1 a.m. From the call through check-in, the staff went out of their way to accommodate us and make sure we got good value for our money. I’ve never reviewed a hotel before, but I wanted to recognize how hospitable and professional the staff were.

Nicky the manager and India made this a five-star stay through their customer service. It wasn’t the hotel, its amenities, or the location that earned the rating, it was the excellent service those two provided. Thank you for having such amazing people working there.

The hotel could use some TLC. For example, the pool is advertised, but it’s closed indefinitely, which can make guests feel misled. The owners should also make sure the staff have enough supplies to stock the rooms. In the weeks we were there, it seemed each room could use at least three sets of bedding and bathroom supplies per day. Breakfast could use a better menu with different choices each day, and maybe an improved kitchen workstation. That’s just my outside observation. Compared with the many hotels I’ve stayed at over the past few months, this one wasn’t the worst, but it does need improvement. The staff and manager Nikkie were amazing and deserve five stars. They went above and beyond for guests who needed things. One day, I know Nikki spent her own money to get items guests had run out of, like milk for breakfast. The maintenance team also handled things when needed and did a great job. Good luck to the staff and manager, and keep up the amazing work!
