For $140 a night, I expected a decent room with a queen bed. I'm used to tent and lean-to camping, so I'm not high maintenance, but this wasn't worth the price. Check-in meant calling a number. We went into the office and looked around without seeing anyone, though the guy who checked us in was very friendly. The room was clean, and whoever does the cleaning does a good job with what they're working with. It was very small, but at least it was non-smoking. The bed was crooked and uncomfortable, the sheets felt cheap, and I had a horrible night's sleep. My cheap sheets at home feel 100 times better. They don't offer room service, and you have to call to request fresh linen. We didn't need that for one night, but you would if staying longer. The hot and cold water in the shower were backwards, too. New sheets, a level bed, some carpet and shower updates would help. As it is, this felt like a $60 to $80 room. I won't stay again unless they bring the prices down.

The suites were huge, with two roomy, crazy comfortable beds, a fridge, a microwave, and a balcony. Everything was clean and the AC worked great. My boyfriend and I were there just one night, but the staff were so kind and helpful. When we had an issue with our room, they immediately moved us to another one. The motel was easy to find, and we'd definitely return on our next trip to RI.

After the last ferry from Block Island, we arrived late on a cool, rainy evening. The air conditioner was on, so the room was really chilly. We switched it to "HI HEAT," but it kept blowing cold air. Then my wife found spiders in the bathroom and a large cockroach. That was enough for us, so we told the night man and left. The credit card machine wasn't working, so we hadn't paid and didn't need a refund.

The location was perfect, the room was really clean, and the staff were friendly. A young man at the front desk helped my husband and me find a nice place to eat, recommending the Matunuck Oyster Bar. It was delicious. We had a great stay at the Wind Swept Inn and will definitely be back.

Chris, the manager/owner, is a really nice guy, and the place was peaceful and quiet. Our room was immaculate and roomy, just what we wanted. It's a kind of strange, eclectic, rustic beachy place, and we'd surely stay here again.
