Microtel Inn by Wyndham Charlotte Airport

After my flight on American was canceled, I got to the hotel late last night and was pleasantly surprised. Most of the interior, including the rooms, looks like it’s been redone. Everything was modern, clean, and comfortable. The desk staff were kind of “eh,” though it was late. My only complaint was that there was no shampoo or conditioner, which I’ve come to expect as a hotel staple.

The room was clean, and Lekisha at the front desk made the stay especially good. She was great to talk with and gave me wonderful customer service. She even went out of her way to help with my loyalty account. I wish everyone I met while traveling were like her!

For the price, this was a good deal, and the room was clean. The breakfast area was tidy and had enough, though there were no eggs or meat, just carbs. Everyone I met was friendly and helpful. Noise carries a bit between rooms, so bringing a noise machine could help. Still, the stay wasn't unpleasant.

I was stranded at CLT without my luggage, and the front desk manager and shuttle driver were both so helpful and kind. They even gave me a comb and toothbrush, which I really appreciated. The room was comfortable and tidy, and I slept well. The shuttle runs on demand from very early until late, and the ride to the terminal was quick and easy. There's also a waffle house across the street. I'd definitely stay again for a quick overnight, and recommend it.
