I love living at Midtown. Everything is within walking distance, and this is the best apartment I've ever had. The property is clean, and it's quiet around the clock, even with kids living here. My apartment has a balcony with a view of uptown and the pool. If you have kids, this seems like a great place to be. The staff and other tenants are nice, and there's an app that helps everyone communicate, which makes it feel like a family. I recommend coming to see the property for yourself. The views are beautiful, and I love staying here. I think I'll renew my lease and keep renewing.

The fire alarms still go off at random times. It happens less than before, but much more often and at stranger hours than anywhere else I've lived, including school. That needs to be fixed. I also put in a maintenance request nearly a month ago for water damage to my kitchen ceiling from a leak in the unit above. They closed it as resolved, but the ceiling hasn't been repaired. I'm worried mold could grow if it's not properly dealt with, causing a bigger problem for me or a future resident. Since the new management took over in February or early March, the community's safety and upkeep have noticeably declined. The garage gate was left open 24/7 for almost two months, letting anyone in, and management gave no clear, timely updates on when it would be fixed. I saw multiple non-residents park in the garage. Some building doors were also in poor repair, and although management said that was tied to the garage issue, those repairs also took almost two months. The front left exterior door near the gym is still broken and unlocked, so anyone can enter. It's been that way for more than a month and remains a serious safety issue. Things weren't great under the previous management either, but they were more proactive about resident safety and getting safety issues resolved on time. The maintenance team before the change was AMAZING. With all these problems still unresolved, I won't renew my lease and wouldn't feel comfortable recommending the community.

The “secure” parking gate is still stuck open, just two days after 15 cars were broken into. Watching people and cars come and go freely doesn't feel safe. A third-party security company doing extra patrols doesn't help when the garage is open to the public. Don't bother contacting them either, they'll just “take a note of it”. Midtown 205 talks about resident safety and peace of mind, but they don't seem to care since they aren't paying for the car damage, even though they're letting the criminals in.

The inside of the apartments is very nice, and it's hard to find a better place for the price. But living there was stressful, and I never felt secure. There were lots of car break-ins, not enough security cameras, broken doors and locks, and air bnb residents walking around. The fire alarms were painfully loud when they went off at 2 AM. At night, Cherry St and the gas station next to it felt practically like a war zone, with constant fights, arrests, vagrants, and who knows what else. Music blasting outside your bedroom window from midnight to 6 AM isn't unusual either. Staff were okay, and I think they were trying to improve things, but I'd stay away until all of these issues are addressed. What a nightmare.

Kayla gave me a great tour of Midtown 205 Apartments. She knew her stuff and took time to show me several floor plans that fit what I needed, plus similar layouts so I could compare. Morgan and Claire were welcoming, knowledgeable, and accommodating too. The property is beautiful, clean, and well maintained, and the application process was straightforward. I had a great experience and was impressed enough with the community to apply. Definitely worth considering.
