I’m fine with the seedy location, kind of like Wakanda, there but not really there. The couple who live there keep their curtain pulled all the way back, have the lamp shade off, and use a 1000w bulb. Weirdly, that makes me feel safe because I know there’s a witness. The looseleaf-thin walls were surprisingly quiet once the lighters stopped clicking. Still, I kept expecting Rusty Nail with his bottle of Pink Champagne to come knocking for Candy Cane, from Joy Ride 2001. If you’re looking for the Moozie Woozie, THIS IS IT BABY!

The location is great when your flight gets canceled, but the room wasn’t clean and smelled like cigarettes and weed. The sheets and blanket had burn holes, and there was a roach in the room. I told the front desk, and she just said, “oh yeah she shouldn't of put you in that room I know.” Nothing else was done. I wouldn’t return.

The price and the quiet are what earned my rating. It was reasonably peaceful apart from fire trucks and ambulances passing on the nearby road, and weekly rates make it workable for a longer, cheaper stay. The place looked very clean, though the curtains, towels, and sheets could use a better wash or an update. The mattress was hard, and the room smelled strongly of smoke, so bring something to freshen the air. It may not suit everyone, but I still think it’s okay for the cost.

I stayed for a week, checked out, and never got my deposit back. Make sure they process it and you actually receive it before you leave, or you may be out of luck.
