Albemarle Estate At Trump Winery

It feels like staying at a relative’s home, but with really good food and service. The property is spacious, the staff are friendly, and the place has a homey feel even though it’s fancy. I’m usually pretty critical and couldn’t find a single thing to complain about. My wife and I are making this a tradition and plan to stay again.

We took five of the twelve rooms for the weekend and barely felt anyone else was there. DJ was a fantastic host, the grounds were gorgeous, and the food and drink selections were great. We had every breakfast and dinner on site and enjoyed them all. Our William room was enormous, and the pool was just as big, with gorgeous views. I’m already eager to stay again. Thanks to all the staff.

We stayed in the Washington Room, which was bigger than most city apartments, and the beds felt like sleeping on pillows. The Estate home is beautiful throughout, extremely clean, and well maintained. Breakfast was wonderful, too. Kudos to Josh and Matt, they’re class acts.

We spent four nights in the Private Cabin in January 2020, and I only wish we could’ve stayed longer. It’s luxurious but simple enough to suit the cabin feel. With the wood supply on the screened porch, we kept a fire going the whole winter stay. Every staff member gave spectacular service, with a clear focus on guests’ satisfaction. We hardly left the Trump Estate. We crossed the street to Trump Winery for a tasting and lunch, and otherwise stayed put. The private movie theater, outdoor Jacuzzi, and on-site massages kept us happy, and breakfast in the elegant dining room became something to look forward to every day. We also enjoyed a Friday night wine pairing with dinner and a relaxing game of Scrabble in the Billiards Room. It was a wonderful visit, and I hope to repeat it.
