Jay was working when I checked out around 7:30 the next morning, so I got to thank him again for being so hospitable. He even wished me a Merry Christmas as I headed out. I’d come back if I’m in the area and need somewhere to sleep. I have Multiple Sclerosis and mobility issues. My ground floor room wasn’t an accessible unit, but getting around it was easy enough. There were a few minor things in the room, but it worked well for two travelers and our demanding Yorkie. She especially liked having two beds to move between. I got in around 10 p.m. on Dec 19, 2025, on my way to Texas. Jay was friendly and knew the answers to my questions. He greeted me with a smile and a welcoming attitude. I’m sure it had been a rough shift at that time of year, but he didn’t show it, and that says a lot about his work ethic and the motel. I’ve seen the negative reviews, but my stay was a good one. Jay and Motel 6 deserve credit for that. Thanks for a decent place to rest overnight.

The towels were gray and black, even though they’re supposed to be white, and there weren’t enough pillows. The water pressure was good, at least. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned: there was still poop all over the toilet from a previous guest, though it looked like housekeeping had made the bed. I didn’t take more photos because I was tired and just wanted to get in and out. The male desk worker wasn’t very friendly. I’d been glad to try this location while driving through about a week ago, but the room was a big disappointment. I almost didn’t post anything because Motel 6 is usually one of the better motels. My Husband insisted, since selling guests a dirty room isn’t acceptable. I understand that housekeepers can be overworked and understaffed, but a housekeeping manager still needs to check the rooms and sign off that cleaning is done. Someone marked this one clean without actually checking, and that’s a problem. I suspect it’s a franchise rather than a corporate location, since I don’t think corporate would let these mistakes happen.

The cancellation rules were frustrating. They say reservations can’t be cancelled after 6 p.m., but they still make reservations after 6. They might cancel one the next morning even though it was made outside their cancellation window. Crappy process. I slept well, and the stay turned out better than I expected. I thought I’d run into roaches, mold, and a lot of noise, but the room was sort of clean, the guests weren’t too loud, and I didn’t see bugs. It was okay, not great. The hot shower had good pressure, the bed was soft, the heater kept the room warm, and the TV stand was nice. The lighting was decent except for the main light, which was very dim and needs a new bulb. There were dirt marks on the towels and stains on the bedspread, though both smelled clean. The room needs a lot of work: the little fridge was old and rusty, the microwave looked outdated and dirty inside, the wood on the walls was dented, the shower’s waterproof section was bulging and peeling, and the cheaply painted ceiling and room need fresh paint. The signs need updating too. With renovations and more attention to cleanliness, this motel could be better. The room needs updating throughout, clean unstained covers, pillows, and towels, new appliances, better main lighting, fresh paint, and updated signs. It was an okay stay, but the cancellation process needs work too.

The room smelled like garbage and smoke. The shower had mold, the pillowcases and towels were stained, the tub had cigarette marks, and the TV wouldn’t work. Nothing about it was in decent shape. I booked a non-smoking room, but the girl at the front desk put me in a smoking room. She’d only had two days of training and was alone without proper preparation. She called the owner, who came by and blamed me for using the bathroom in that room, saying he couldn’t use it now. Then he wanted to charge me for a security deposit and a new room. I’ve seen Motel 6 respond to reviews about this place, but literally nothing has changed. Motel Six is hell.

We had to leave in the middle of the night after roaches came out, including one that crawled over the bed my friend was trying to sleep in. The room was dirty, the TV and phone didn’t work, half the lamps had no bulbs, and there was no hot water. When we asked for a refund, they flatly lied and claimed we’d stayed all night. I have a receipt from Knights Inn showing we checked in during the night. The manager won’t get on the phone with anyone who has a complaint, and the front desk staff seem like they don’t know what they’re doing. The whole atmosphere felt like crack town. I don’t recommend staying here.
