Marianna Inn Panguitch

The place was filthy. There were little black hairs all over the sheets and dirty footprints around the room. The toilet wouldn't flush, and the shower only had cold water. It looked like they just make the bed and don't clean the room or wash the sheets.

The room was a little basic, but it had recently been refreshed and worked perfectly as a place to sleep while passing through town or exploring Bryce. I booked a double room at the last minute when availability around town was low. Service was efficient and great, and I'd stay again.

We like supporting local businesses instead of national chains, and Marianna Inn is a comfortable place to stay. They did a good job redoing the old motel. We first stayed there a couple of years ago for Bryce Canyon, and remembered liking it when we passed through Panguitch again after visiting Zion National Park a couple of days ago.

The beds were quite uncomfortable, and the room's condition left us feeling that it was worth about $100 a night, though we paid $160. We also learned that other guests in equivalent rooms had paid quite a bit less, even though we stayed two nights and they stayed just one. The toilet was held in place only by its drain pipe because the flange bolts were gone. Paint was cracking on the shower walls, and there was no shampoo or bath mat. This was my second stay at the motel, and the price felt unreasonably high compared with others nearby.
