Deep Water Inn

It’s a small, homey inn with a friendly host and a handy location on East Woodin Avenue in Chelan. The ferry to Stehekin is about five minutes away. There’s an outdoor area with a picnic table, chairs, and swings, and a seasonal cafe for breakfast. It’s a nice base for exploring Lake Chelan or catching the ferry. I booked a king room with a couch that folds out to a twin, plus a microwave, mini-refrigerator, coffee maker, cable TV, and WiFi. The room had one small window with a limited view, and nowhere to put my clothes away.

From booking through arrival, Minda made my family feel welcome. The hospitality felt personal and sincere, and everyone was attentive and accommodating throughout our stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and well kept. Having fresh coffee in the room was a nice touch, as was the offer to make coffee from her cute onsite café, Brunch Box. We had a great stay at The Deep Water Inn, and I highly recommend it for comfort, friendly service, and good hospitality.

After long days in the hot sun, it was such a relief to come back to a cool, comfortable room. Everything we needed was there: TV with plenty of choices, a microwave for reheating food or making oatmeal, coffee maker, fridge and freezer, little bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash if you forgot yours, plus lots of towels, pillows, and extra blankets. The hotel is lovely and the rooms were so clean. I truly appreciated that, and the bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. We had a fabulous stay.

For our first trip to Chelan, we found this hotel had availability over Labor Day weekend, and we’re so glad we stayed. The rooms are simple but have what you need to unwind after a day on the lake. There’s a peaceful courtyard right outside where you can eat breakfast from the hotel or pick something up nearby and dine outdoors. Restaurants and downtown Chelan are within walking distance. The owners are very friendly and clearly take pride in the business, which made the stay feel especially welcoming. We’ll definitely return next time we’re in Chelan.
