Days Inn by Wyndham Rockford I-90 Casino District

After a long drive, Any at the front desk was such a welcome sight. I had to book at the last minute because of a family lodging emergency, and it was just me and my six-month-old. We stayed two days. The room was very small, but it worked fine.

I was happy with the room when we arrived, it was clean and all set up, and the bed and pillows were pretty comfortable. There are plenty of restaurants and gas stations nearby, and the Hard Rock Casino is right across the street for a quick walk. The staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful. Timothy at the front desk was especially hospitable and accommodating, so thanks to him. Breakfast was the letdown. On my stays last year there were usually eggs and sausage, but this weekend it was fresh waffles, sometimes oatmeal, and otherwise cold or bland choices like cereal, yogurt, fruit, or toast. I missed having more hot food options. I enjoyed the weekend, from 10/17-10/19, and would come back and recommend it.

The inn was clean throughout, and the host and cleaning helper were both nice and helped me with what I needed. I liked the quiet, the room was nice, and I enjoyed working out in the nice, quiet space. Breakfast was great. There's a casino across the street and two gas stations nearby, plus vending machines inside for snacks. I'd love to come back.

Paula, the daytime manager, has always been pleasant and helpful whenever I've talked with her. I recently had a double charge on my credit card through the Wyndham third-party travel agent in Peachtree GA. The non-cancellation rate and my cancellation were mostly my fault, but Paula took time to go through the details with Wyndham Days Inn customer service and helped get the charges resolved. She was very accommodating at the Days Inn on Lyford Rd. in Rockford IL.
