Candlewood Suites Chester - Philadelphia International Airport by IHG

The room was dirty, as the pictures show, and the smells varied from place to place. The lobby and rooms had an industrial disinfectant odor, while the elevator smelled like burning rubber. The hotel sits in a run-down part of town and has limited parking out front. If those spaces are taken, you have to park along the road behind the hotel, and given the location, I doubt you’d want to walk there. The staff weren’t especially nice, but they weren’t rude either. They just did their jobs.

The rooms were clean and okay, with standard decor and working amenities, though mine felt crowded from having too much furniture. Candlewood Suites offers a lot of amenities, but the washers and dryers were broken. Service was lacking too. Staff weren’t very friendly or approachable, and barely spoke unless I talked to them first.

A good setup for longer stays, with clean, very nice rooms and a kitchen area. There’s a fridge with an ice maker, dishes, utensils, pots, plates, a cutting board, and a dishwasher. The hotel also has a gym, laundry room, and pool.

The reception staff have always been professional, and the team is very accommodating. Parking is excellent, and I’m glad there’s security on the property at night. Keep up the great work!
