The hosts were polite, and my room was clean. A couple of things needed attention: the bathroom door needed repair, and the shampoo ran out during my stay. They should top up the shampoo and conditioner between guests when needed.

J and C kept breakfast in great shape. They were attentive and on top of everything, the tables were clean, the food was stocked, and the coffee was fresh and hot. We’ve been traveling for two weeks and have spent more than 250 nights in hotels this year. Thanks, and keep it up.

The location is great, the staff at reception are friendly, and my clean room had a comfortable bed. Still, the hotel needs investment and updating. The elevator looked old and sounded even older. When we were checking out with our bags, it opened to a housekeeper and her cart, leaving no room for us. She stared blankly as the doors closed again. I didn’t expect her to get out, but she could at least have acknowledged that we couldn’t use it, or acknowledged us. The room also had stained carpet and chipped furniture. The bathroom light flickered, and the shower tile was badly chipped on the outside. It wasn’t a bad stay, just below Marriott standard.

I stopped here on the way to Washington, DC, and the rooms were disgusting. The place smelled like a cigarette lounge, I wasn’t sure the bedding was clean, and I had to lay a towel in the tub before showering. If you like sleeping in your clothes, stay here. 9/22, thanks for the canned reply to my rating. There’s no way in hell I’d stay again.
