Suburban Studios Chester

I stayed in 219, and the rooms are perfect. There was one roach in the bathroom, but I didn’t mind catching it because the room was so clean. Hooters is right next door, and I enjoyed the food.

I was here for three months. You have to ask questions and read everything, because the staff won’t tell you what you don’t know. They treat you with more respect when they realize you know the details. The other guests were rough, too. The walls are kind of thin, and people will argue at 2 am on a Tuesday as if nobody else is trying to sleep.

The room was okay and the cleaning staff are nice, but the rooms aren’t very clean and there are roaches. The pregnant woman at the front desk was rude and accused me of looking in other people’s cars when it was my own car. My room keys kept malfunctioning, so I had to get new ones every day. One morning my truck wouldn’t start, and they complained when I worked on it, even though people were allowed to party and smash beer bottles in the parking lot at 2 am. I stayed about three months, and these are just some of the problems I had. The location is great, though, and I recommend the Fairfield across the street. It’s worth the extra $10 and has free breakfast.

This was my last visit. They don’t honor my membership benefits. My membership says I can check out two hours late, but they don’t respect that, and as far as I remember they never have. This is the only hotel where I’ve had this problem. They want to charge for those extra two hours, but the loyalty rewards corporate office told me they shouldn’t. Room quality varies, and almost every room has damage. There’s mold in 95% of them, in the vents, air unit, bathroom ceiling, and a tub that’s falling apart. There’s no door space in the bathroom.
