Waterbird Lakeside Inn

I used to stay at the Waterbird Hotel regularly, but after this visit I won't be back. On the first night I was alone in room 252 on the second floor and everything seemed fine. The next night, when I returned with a companion, we noticed a strong feces odor. Under the covers on the second bed, we found dried, crusted poop stains on the comforter. It looked like an old mess left by a previous guest. I took photos and am prepared to share them with the Better Business Bureau and Hotels.com. The front desk staff member was sarcastic and dismissive when I reported it, smirking and asking why we hadn't noticed it the first night. That was irrelevant and insulting. I've stayed here many times and have never been treated with such disrespect. He refused to give me a full refund, and my refund request has since been denied. A partial refund or discount isn't acceptable to me. Sleeping in a bed with someone else's dried feces is disgusting and, in my view, a serious health risk. I want full reimbursement for the unsanitary room and the unprofessional treatment. I'll send the complaint and photos to the BBB and other relevant parties. If I could give zero stars, I would. The experience was deeply unacceptable, and I won't stay here again.
