I booked a week and went straight to inspect the room. It was filthy, with bugs everywhere. I thought I might put up with those until I saw the bed covered in bed bugs. Easily the worst motel experience I've had. It's cheap, sure, but you get what you pay for. I went to the desk for a refund. The owner asked why, and I tried to avoid making a fuss by saying I'd found somewhere else. He accused me of breaking something and told me to wait in the office while he checked the room. I wouldn't, and followed him in. When I lifted the blanket, he said that meant no refund. He examined the bed, and as I pointed out the bugs, he wiped them away and claimed there weren't any. I was furious and demanded my money back. He still refused, blaming me for moving the blanket. I was irate, and I'm not a small guy, so he finally said fine, then shouted at me about the blanket. 0/10, stay away.

Free parking and no surprise charges, which helped make the $70-a-night price hard to fault. The place is right across from a deli and close to Domino’s, convenient though not scenic. Staff were kind when we arrived late, and the receptionist was relaxed and friendly about the delay. The service was otherwise nothing special. It's a basic 2-star hotel with rooms and furniture that look like they're from another decade, but everything worked, including the WiFi and AC. The bed cover smelled, and there were more bathroom spiders than you'd want to see before bed. The toilet seemed to have a personality of its own. The room was okay, but that odor and the bathroom wildlife brought the cleanliness down. It gets the job done and I might return. My wife? That's a coin toss. Likelihood to Return: 50%.

The people were lovely, but there were bad smells throughout the room. The sofa, bed covering, and floor all smelled, and the bathroom wasn't pleasant to shower in either. Across the way there's a very nice shop with amazing sandwiches.

You can see why it's cheap: the place is very shabby, though adequately clean. The bed and linens were great, and the standard motel heater and cooler worked well. The nonsmoking room could have used more freshening. Harsh lights made every flaw stand out, including old paint marks and dings in the walls. The microwave and small fridge came in handy, but there was no coffee and no container for heating water in the microwave, so I had to go to a nearby Dunkin. I couldn't see a motel sign from the street and had to rely on GPS.

We only needed the room for six hours before a fishing trip, and for that it was good enough for two guys. Price was the main reason I chose it. The owners were nice and helpful, and he even offered to make coffee for us at 5 AM. There was an unusual smell in our room and the carpet wasn't quite clean. It looked like the owners were in the middle of some upgrades and repairs. We had a fridge, microwave, a nice flat-screen TV, and no bed bugs.
