Knights Inn Mount Gilead OH

We traveled to Ohio for Inkcarceration and, since this was the only place in our budget, we booked despite feeling nervous after reading some reviews. Our stay at the Knight's Inn turned out spectacular. The room was clean, the mattresses and pillows had plastic protectors, the beds were cozy, and the water was hot. It was QUIET, too. The gentleman at the front desk was sweet and clear about the rules and policies. We got our security deposit back without any issue. We'd definitely stay again if we're in the area.

It's an old-fashioned, basic motel where you can park right outside your door. It's usually very quiet, maybe because it's never full, and the owner seems to be trying to keep a mom-and-pop operation going. I stay about three times a year when traveling for sports. It could be cleaner, and the A/C is only passable, but it's okay. They recently bought some new TVs.

The couple at the desk were very nice and check-in was easy. The sheets were clean, but one bulb was burned out and there was no shampoo, so I had to go down the road to Dollar General to get some. It was a mixed stay, though I might come back just because it's convenient.

The rooms are dated, but clean. The mini fridge and TV worked, and there were extra blankets in the drawers. The beds were clean and mostly comfortable, just a bit softer than I like. For one night, it wasn't bad.
