Comfort Inn & Suites Cheyenne

The shower had good pressure and got nice and hot, and there was a hair dryer too. The room seemed clean and this is a solid little place for a night on the road. Breakfast was the usual continental setup, waffles, cereal, and, most importantly to me, coffee. The innerspring bed with its thin pillow top was fine for one night, but I'm not sure I'd want it for several. The pillows were a little worn but did the job. The TV wasn't great, though I don't watch much TV anyway. Wi-Fi worked, just not very fast. Wyoming's elevation makes me feel awful.

I paid $70 for one person, so my four stars are about the price. The room itself made me really happy and was comparable to rooms I've paid more than twice as much for. It's a good deal if you're traveling. There's a decent Mexican restaurant next door, but not much else within walking distance for food.

The place was super clean and shiny, and we felt very cared for there. For $58 a night plus the dog fee, we paid less than we had at some nice motels, but still got continental breakfast and all the basics: coffee, shampoo, soap, a fridge, and a microwave. They even left a doggy bag with biscuits. I expected this Inn to be more like the motels we'd been staying in, but it was so much more.

The exterior doesn't look like much, but inside the rooms are clean and quite nice. The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was decent. I'm a light sleeper, yet the trains across the road didn't bother me. The climate control made some noise, probably no worse than at most motels, and the blackout curtains worked well.
