We were passing through on 5-24-26 when the rain started, and Carol greeted us warmly as we came in. She got us checked in without delay, and the room was clean enough for us to get a great night's sleep. For the price, it covered everything we needed. We'll stay here again on our way home next week.

As a Diamond member, I stay with Choice Hotels all the time for work. Other properties have usually been willing to work with me when my job wraps up early and I need to leave a day or two ahead of schedule. This location refused to help or offer any accommodation, which was pretty disappointing service for a frequent guest.

I could see my truck from the window, and the truck stop was an easy walk away, which made this a handy break during the storms. The manager was super friendly, pointed out places that deliver, and told us about the better-than-usual breakfast. The hallway smelled so good and clean I could have moved in. They brought extra pillows right away, and we didn't need anything else. It was also nice to have a normal-size TV. I'd recommend it to truckers looking for a rest.

My stay felt like a 4- or 5-star experience until checkout. Before reserving, I told the person on the phone I had a dog and a cat. They said that was fine and the fee was $25 per pet, which I accepted. I arrived late on April 26, 2026, and the front desk lady was very sweet. She saw me with both pets and chatted with me while I held my cat. The next morning, April 27, my father, toddler, 6-month-old, the pets and I were loading the car when the manager on duty, a woman with tattoos all over her face, saw my cat and loudly asked what room I was in. She said she didn't allow cats and would charge me $250. She charged $100 in pet fees, then another $250 under missing property, with the note "cats aren't allowed." I called customer service afterward. They confirmed there was nowhere stating cats weren't welcome and that the pet fee was only $25 per animal.
