DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago - Magnificent Mile

The rooms were spacious, clean, and had all the essentials. Housekeeping was available daily, and having a Starbucks inside the hotel made things much easier. The staff were really friendly, too. I stayed four nights recently while in Chicago for a convention. The hotel is in a beautiful area, within walking distance of Navy pier and the river walk. I'd definitely recommend it.

Those warm, delicious cookies are such a sweet welcome, and they say a lot about the care and hospitality here. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out, making it easy to relax. From the moment I walked in, the staff were genuinely welcoming and attentive. Every part of the stay felt cared for, and it turned a simple trip into a memorable one. Truly one of the best hotel stays I've had.

The furnace in our room was very noisy, but the engineering staff came to check it out quickly. Everyone we dealt with was very nice and helpful. We were staying in the Hilton Grand Vacation club, which occupies the top six floors. The large one-bedroom suites give you useful extra space. There's no kitchenette, just a fridge and small microwave. You can ask the lobby restaurant for plates, silverware, and glasses.

The location is ideal for walking around downtown Chicago, and it was convenient having a restaurant and coffee shop near the lobby. Our room was spacious and nice enough, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They even let us check in at noon instead of the usual 4pm, which is a great perk when some hotels in town won't allow early check-in. I'd stay again. Edit: On our second day we ran out of bath towels and toilet paper. The room phone didn't work, so we went to the front desk twice to ask for them, then finally called from a cell phone in the room and got them. We also requested housekeeping, but they never came. That second-day experience brought my rating down.
