The bed was cozy, the pillows were nice, and the heat and AC worked perfectly. The hotel looks new and modern, and everything was beautiful. The restaurant food was incredible, and the bartender was so kind. I'll be back. I was tired and hungry when I got in around 8pm for one night before an early flight. It's only 3 miles from the airport, and the staff were so welcoming. Chinci (sp?) at the front desk suggested the lobby restaurant and gave me a toothbrush and toothpaste after I realized I'd left my toiletries at my parents' place.
The room is clean and well equipped, with a new Keurig, tea and coffee. The bed is one of the most comfortable I've slept in at a hotel. Paint and carpet look a little dull, and the view isn't much, but the shower is spacious and the soaps and shampoos are great. The food may be what brings us back to this hotel when we return to Chicago. Breakfast had lots of fresh choices and tasted good, especially those amazing cinnamon buns. The attached bistro is reasonably priced, portions are generous, and dinner was delicious. We wished we'd eaten there sooner. We're almost through a five-day stay and have had a great time. Staff are all friendly, take care of requests smoothly, and it's been nice chatting with them and getting local recommendations. Five stars.
We came to watch the Bears game after hearing the wings were good, and the garlic parm wings were ridiculously delicious. The beef nachos were great too, and the drinks were tasty. There are so many screens that you couldn't miss the game, and the place has a really nice atmosphere. Titi was amazing, basically a superwoman. She was working the bar by herself through a big rush, kept smiling and kept the energy up. Ronda handled the raffle and was really sweet and friendly. This is definitely a new hangout for us.
Housekeeping did a top notch job. The white bedding and bathroom were spotless, even the tile grout looked sparkly. The bartender, Gabriele, was attentive and kept the conversation going when things were quiet. I felt very welcome. Dinner was as good as a downtown restaurant. I ordered salmon, which was perfect, and I've never had rice that good. Chef James came out briefly, and I asked his name because the meal felt so thoughtful. James, putting your heart into feeding people was nourishing in more ways than one. At the front desk, MS. Day sorted out a problem I had with a bad travel agent while also helping someone else with a third party booking. She shared some hotel industry information I hadn't known about why booking through IHG directly is better. Highly recommend staying here, 10/10.
Level Hospitality nearly got it right with the location, customer service, and housekeeping. But I was overwhelmed by the molded carpet, both on the main floor and in my room. No, the carpets weren't extracted, so that can't be blamed. In the restroom, the sink had no hot water. Maybe it had run out or there was a missed connection. A few things worth pointing out.
