Omni Chicago Hotel

We loved our stay at the Omni Hotel in Chicago and would absolutely come back. We could walk everywhere from the spot just off Michigan Avenue, and the Red Line is about three blocks away. The hotel was spotless and peaceful, and we barely noticed other guests. The staff were professional, check-in went smoothly, and Shaniece made us feel welcome right away. The doorman was wonderful too. The room attendant seemed to know our routine. We often slept in and headed out around 10 or 11 a.m., and when we returned, the beds were made and fresh towels were waiting. On Christmas morning, there was even a stocking stuffer outside our door, such a thoughtful touch. We never waited more than 60 seconds for an elevator, and at night you need your room key to enter, which made us feel safe. I’d read comments about low shower pressure, but we had no such issue. Everything worked perfectly. If you’re considering a stay, go for it. We loved it and will be back.

The cold was record-breaking, and a snowstorm meant we had to stay an extra night. The staff were kind, and the amenities were nice. We especially liked the workout rooms, and the doormen were incredibly helpful. It’s a clean, very nice hotel, and the bar has good food options if you don’t want to head out into the cold.

The location was ideal, with lots of places within walking distance, and our room was great. Everyone was kind, from the desk staff to the people at the door. They even made sure we got into the right cars. We had an excellent stay.

The One Bedroom Suite felt like a home away from home right on the Magnificent Mile, with over 400 sq. ft. of space and a mix of modern touches and historic charm. It had two double beds, a separate living room with a pull-out sofa, wet bar, and work desk, which worked well for families or small groups. There were two high-definition TVs, a granite and marble bathroom with a lit mirror, warm colors, and high-speed Wi-Fi. We also appreciated the extra perks: Premier Wi-Fi, bottled water, digital Wall Street Journal access, and a $10 laundry credit. A microwave or rollaway bed was available at no extra charge. The Harry Potter-themed package was a highlight, with Garrett’s Popcorn, cookies, chocolate, custom glasses, a cozy scarf, and a personalized Hogwarts acceptance letter with your name on it. Guests also get 15% off at The Harry Potter Shop Chicago. Omni Chicago made our stay feel magical, with a storybook feel that guests of all ages can enjoy.
