The location made our weekend so easy. We could walk to nearly everything on our itinerary, from restaurants and shops to sightseeing by the lakefront. Our room was spacious, beautiful, comfortable, and impeccably clean, a relaxing place to come back to after exploring the city. My husband and I had a fantastic anniversary stay at the InterContinental Chicago. Than at the front desk was especially personable and friendly, asked why we were visiting, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. When he heard it was our anniversary, he added thoughtful touches that made the weekend feel special. His kindness set the tone for the whole trip. We were extremely impressed with the hotel and service, and can’t wait to return. Than deserves special recognition for making the anniversary trip unforgettable.

We really enjoyed our one-night stay with our 7 month old. The employees were kind and helpful, and the view from the 23rd floor was great. The breakfast buffet was honestly very good, though crazy expensive. Our room was SO HOT, and there was no way to turn off the heat, so I was sweating lol. They were very accommodating with us and the baby.

The staff were helpful and welcoming, and our room was spacious with a lovely view. It had both a large tub and a walk-in shower. We’ve enjoyed the big pool on another visit, though we didn’t get to use it this time. The Intercontinental is right on Michigan Ave, with plenty of shops and restaurants an easy walk away. Parking through the hotel costs a lot, but we found another spot nearby and the walk was short.

We loved the corner suite’s city views and having a bathroom for us plus another for the girls. It felt roomy without being overdone, and the pool was busy but nice for my husband and daughter. We had 48 hours together as a family and really enjoyed it. Lupe was a gem while making the reservation. Before leaving, we called from two hours away, with a time zone change, and Brenda told us the room was ready, but it wasn’t when we arrived. Fredy handled that really well and found us a great room comparable to the suite we’d booked. Eva and Susan also checked in with us during and after the stay, which we appreciated. The hotel’s in a great spot for shopping on Michigan Ave. We hadn’t tried it before, but would consider coming back to Chicago and staying here again.

The hotel is clean, the staff are courteous, and the pool is beautiful. The location is hard to beat. One thing to know before ordering room service: the delivery fee is $8, and the automatic gratuity doesn’t appear in the cart, only on the receipt after you pay. Three orders of milk and cookies came to $45 in the end, with $25 for the food and the rest from delivery, tax, automatic gratuity, and an extra tip.
