This was my third stay at the Chicago SoHo house, and my favorite yet. Our room was large and spectacular, with views of the Willis Tower. May greeted us and was always available when we had a question, and Peter at the lobby restaurant was an exceptional server. SoHo house makes travel feel both luxurious and welcoming.

The staff at Soho House Chicago were attentive and professional, and clearly focused on making the visit feel special. The pool, fitness center, and dining options were all well maintained and felt high quality. The design mixes modern touches with comfortable sophistication. There are inviting spaces throughout, from the lounges to the rooftop views, and the place feels thoughtfully put together from the moment you walk in. Whether you’re there to relax, work, or socialize, it delivers a premium stay that lives up to its reputation.

As a new Soho member, I’m struck by how beautiful every floor is. The members lounge and Sunday brunch feast have such a great vibe, and I could spend hours in those thoughtfully put together spaces by the real wood-burning fire. The gym is incredible, too. Soho Chicago gave me the best birthday weekend I could’ve asked for.

The setting was pleasant for sitting and chatting, but the afternoon tea at Soho House didn’t feel close to worth the price. We paid $84 per person and spent about 2-3 hours there. Each person got a small pot of tea, two tiny sandwiches, a macaron, a little slice of pie, and a few very small finger foods. The food was disappointing overall. The macaron was very hard, the bread much too sour, and the salmon portion extremely thin. Most of it tasted average or worse. For $84, I expected much better food and service. It was essentially tea with a few underwhelming bites, so I wouldn’t recommend it.

A cool place with a relaxed lobby, classy restaurant, and lively bar and club area that stays open late. The rooftop heated pool and movie theater are great. The bartender had some good ideas for carrying on the night, and the phone charger in the lobby was a lifesaver.
