South Wabash

The location made it easy to walk to lots of places, especially grocery stores, or hop on the L. The area seemed mostly safe. We also made use of the luggage lockers on checkout day and the bathroom in a nearby building for guests who don't have room access yet or anymore. Inside, the floor-to-ceiling windows gave the place a great city-living feel, and the bed was comfortable and sturdy. There was good water pressure and plenty of space, too. I hardly noticed a few scuffs and painted patches on the walls. The living room couch could use replacing, but the chair or dining table worked fine. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

It felt like a home away from home, with a phenomenal view and a really clean space. They'd even supplied everything we needed, including Tide pods for laundry. The guard and housekeeping staff were friendly and nice. Most city pass locations were 15 minutes away or less, and there were plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. We'll definitely use Sonder again when we travel, and Sonder South Wabash was the best.

The convertible studio was quiet, and I could rarely hear the neighbors. There wasn't much room for clothes on a long stay, but I asked for extra hangers and someone brought them in a special delivery bag in under five minutes. The chat was quick whenever I needed help, and the shower pressure was amazing. I was excited about that, since it can be rare. The lockers came in clutch on check-in day. I dropped my three bags at 11am, locked them up, and spent the day in midtown. There are cameras by the lockers. The building next door has a nice gym, and security walks around and is sometimes at the front desk. They were really friendly. My place had a great city building view, a comfortable bed, and a great location. Trader Joe’s, Jewel, the train, coffee shops, restaurants, and bars are down the street. The kitchen had what I needed to cook, plus coffee, tea, creamer, and different kinds of sugar. I'd definitely stay here again or try another Sounders location. I was kind of sad I hadn't booked a longer stay, and I've been looking at other locations to try! 😊

The whole building was clean and tidy, and I had no trouble with the entry or room passcodes. My connection flight left while I was mid-flight from Canada to Atlanta, so I couldn't get another flight until the next day. I called Sonder support to say I'd be checking in late, and they reassured me that my room would still be there and told me to travel safely. The phone support was amazing, thank you! I'll stay here on my next trip to Chicago.
