River Hotel

For the quality, this is probably the best value around. The downtown hotel was a pleasant price surprise, and my room was clean and well maintained. There’s a TV, and snacks are available for an extra charge if you want something quick. Check-in went smoothly, and the woman at the front desk was very kind. The male host at the entrance was especially friendly, smiling, chatting pleasantly, and sincerely wishing me a good day. Honestly, he’s one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Amazing stay, great value, and good coffee too. I’d definitely recommend it.

The room had two bathrooms and two beds in separate areas, which was ideal since my friend and I wanted our own spaces. It felt almost like two rooms had been opened into one. The room itself was ugly, though: the carpet needed replacing, and the only view out the window was a wall. The concierge team was delightful, helpful, and amazing. The location right across from the river was great, with easy access to the Riverwalk. It was quiet and comfortable, and I’d absolutely come back.

We had a lovely family gathering, and the staff played a big part in making us feel welcome in Chicago. Pedro and Jaques were both wonderful, showing real kindness and a sincere willingness to help make the stay great. Our rooms were clean and quiet, and the beds were cozy and comfortable. We had a large family group coming in from three different states, and they took very good care of all of us. I’ll recommend this place again and again. Thanks for making our Windy City visit unforgettable!

Jacques and Pedro at the front desk made us feel so welcome. They were warm, kind, friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The suite was spacious, spotless when we arrived, and had very comfortable beds. The coffee was great, both in the room and on the second floor. That floor was a terrific place to eat, visit, or just sit quietly with morning coffee, with lots of room and tables. The location is very convenient to buses and trains, and restaurants, Millennium Park, and Art Institute are nearby. I’ll stay here every time I visit Chicago. Thanks for making our stay comfortable and pleasant!
