Housekeeping took great care of us and were friendly and helpful. The room service food we ordered was pretty good, and the location was good too. The rooms themselves were just okay, and I didn't care for the vibe or decor. It felt like an "edgy" 8th grader had designed the room. If I come back to the area, I'd probably pick another hotel.

The service made a big impression on me. From valet parking to the front desk, everyone was professional, and I felt safe knowing the hotel went out of its way to look after guests. Our room on the 24th floor was beautiful, and the downtown location puts you right among the sights. There’s a bar downstairs, a club upstairs, and two lovely restaurants. They also offer a $25 credit for breakfast, drinks, or dinner. I had a great stay in Chicago and will definitely be back.

The room was clean and comfortable, with a simple, modern look, though it didn’t quite match what I expected from the photos. Check-in was quick, and from past visits I know the rooftop has a great vibe. We didn’t use the spa or restaurant this time. There were no vending machines or 24-hour spot to buy drinks or snacks, which was disappointing. The area was especially congested over Valentine’s Day weekend because of construction. The bigger issue came at 2 a.m., when security knocked to say someone had complained about noise. There were only two of us, eating, talking, and laughing. I’d read the website policy, which says no more than four guests, and there was no quiet-hours rule. I went to the front desk to ask about it, but Marlon was rude. This will most likely be my first and last stay as a guest.

Beatrice at the hotel was wonderful and really helpful. The room felt welcoming and was, most importantly, clean. Everything was accommodating, and the hotel is right in the middle of things, with plenty within easy walking distance. I truly enjoyed my stay.

The location made getting around so easy. CTA trains are right outside, Michigan Ave. shopping is about a 10-minute walk one way, and Millennium Park is a five-minute walk the other way. The hotel itself is modern, stylish, and spotless, with stunning, well-stocked rooms, even an Alexa. The views could keep you by the window for hours. We felt looked after as a family throughout the stay. Staff greeted us by name and made us feel welcome, and the people at the State & Lake restaurant were great too. The atmosphere was cool, the food was good, and Kate deserves a shoutout. Matthew welcomed us at the front desk when we arrived, and Michael was so kind when we left that we were sad to go. Since this is a big city, security mattered to us. The larger staff presence in the lobby helped us feel safe, and on New Year’s Eve there were metal detectors. A small issue during our stay was handled quickly and professionally by the General Manager. We travel often and are Hilton Honors members, and our loyalty was recognized. We know hotels, and this is a real gem in the Hilton crown. We’ll return, and I’d recommend booking here.
