Quality Inn Chicopee - Springfield

The staff were friendly, accommodating, and gave A+ service. We had an early check-in, and they cleaned our room before the others so we could get in sooner. The room itself wasn’t very clean, though, and that’s not the fault of the people working there. The owners should update the place with new furniture, remove the carpet, and paint.

The rooms were clean but dated, and there was no elevator, so we had to haul our luggage upstairs. Only the main entrance worked, since the card readers on the other doors weren’t working. Our room had no information about local activities or how to connect to the wifi. We arrived after dark and found the hotel tucked into the back corner of a parking lot. The staff didn’t seem especially glad to see us, and one person stared at their phone without looking up. I’d pass this place up if you can.

We stayed for a few days, and the staff were so helpful and friendly. They even let us use the breakfast area for board games, which was a kind gesture we really appreciated.

The whole building had a dirty smell, and the carpet felt sticky. We had to ask for soap, and thankfully stayed only one night. We weren’t expecting five-star accommodations, but did expect a room that locked. Anyone could have walked in. When we told the front desk, all we got was an apology. This Quality Inn had no quality.
