The little room details added up and made the place feel homey: a ceiling fan, trim around the ceiling, and the fridge and microwave tucked into their own nook instead of sitting in front of the bed. I liked the roller shades, too, since they could block the window completely or just dim the light. The bathroom had tile instead of plastic. My room was really clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. No complaints from me. Thank you!

The hotel felt run down despite being built in 2011 and last renovated in 2022. Corners of the walls were busted, and the third-floor hallway smelled especially weird. The elevator took a full ten minutes to reach the third floor while my arms were loaded. Its loose, unstable rail didn't seem safe for my elderly FIL. There was no outdoor seating area at all, a first for me. The front desk woman was hard to approach and not very understanding. Apparently drinks of any kind aren't allowed at the pool, though the sign inside only says no glass, food, or alcohol. All in all, it was much worse than the experience I expected for the price. There are much better nearby hotels with friendlier desk staff and better accommodations for less, even by Choice hotel standards. What a disappointment.

The location is good, and the beds are pretty good. For the price, I'd recommend it if you're on a budget, but not if you can afford a more expensive hotel. It feels like an average older place, around 3/5, neither too bad nor too good. My second-floor hallway smelled like wet dog, my room smelled like a casino, and there were scuffs, scratches, and chips on the doors. I'd give it four stars if they dealt with the smells.

Everything else was fine, though I found a small roach in the restroom. It's not the worst, but it certainly isn't the best.
